12U FLIGHT CASE (ABS/ALUMINIUM/STEEL) + 1 x COATED STEEL 2U SHELF *LIGHT DAMAGE*:

DESCRIPTION:More detailed information to follow shortly… Please feel free to message me if you have any further questions, detailed professional photos available on request – happy bidding and good luck! 🙂

IMPORTANT:

PLEASE NOTE: The wooden plinth with castors pictured in the photos *IS NOT* part of the auction (e.g. its merely just for illustration purposes to protect the unit whilst being photographed for auction).

I’m selling my *USED* 12U ABS Flight Case with removable front and back panels + 1 x additional adonised steel parcel shelf which is really useful and perfect for supporting desktop modules like drum machines, groove box’s, samplers, controllers et al. (If you look closely one is racked at the bottom). In this configuration it acts as a spacer/separator to ensure an air gap for cooled devices (i.e. chassis fans etc) but also can be used to add additional strength/weight to the construction for increased impact protection/rigidity or balancing etc (subject to individual requirements) e.g. whether racked vertically or on its back for floor use under a desk etc.

The unit is in excellent condition and essentially looks new (aside from a little dust/mounting marks/and 3 areas of light damage which were actually there from *NEW* but I gave up/deleted my account with DV24/7 whom after replacing the item 4 times were seemingly incapable of supplying it undamaged! Anyway please refer to more detailed/specific description below)!  It has been professionally cleaned inside and out (sterilised/polished etc); although its been kept in that condition since new anyway as I’m totally OCD about my studio kit! Further its been stored in studio/lab conditions (e.g. warm, dry, clean etc) since purchased and basically used to rack the same equipment from *NEW* on a studio desktop (which is something that it is ideal for)! I personally wouldn’t use an ABS flight case for touring, this is basically an inexpensive solution to store/protect/access studio gear within a studio/lab setting.

*EXCELLENT*. Condition is USED (e.g. ONLY lightly from new, never gigged, and always protected in a lab/studio environment using rack ears (to prevent bolt marks on the bolt plates); however contact friction has left some tiny marks but that is inevitable as the steel has an aluminium facia plate (soft).

ANOMOLY/SIDE NOTE 1: The 1st small defect (*see photos) appears to be a tiny manufacturing or moulding mark which has been there since new. Its impossible to be sure (as its in the proximity of a corner) but there doesn’t appear to be any signs of an impact (no deformation/fracture); its just off colour. It’s essentially practically impossible to purchase one of these style of ABS flight cases without such anomalies… unless its just DV24/7 that completely suck… Mmmm… answers on a postcard kids)!

*NOTE: This is on a single corner of the FRONT removable cover ONLY!

ANOMOLY/SIDE NOTE 2: There 2nd small defect relates to an impact (*see photos) and appears to be a tiny stress fracture/puncture (of approximately 1mm x 2cm) with some light edge deformation. It’s important to understand however that this *HAS NOT* occurred in my care, but was actually delivered this way by DV24/7 (from *NEW* and actually the 4th time after being repeatedly replaced/reordered for similar reasons beforehand). They naturally blamed the couriers; however the in-tact packaging evidence illustrated otherwise (more likely their warehouse staff and appalling QC); thus I just gave up and deleted my account with them (thankfully) but it doesn’t really affect its use (just cosmetic value).

*NOTE: This is on a single corner of the FRONT removable cover ONLY!

ANOMOLY/SIDE NOTE 3: The 3rd small defect(s) relate to 2 x poorly fabricated bolt holes (*see photos) which appear to have been damaged (e.g. drill got lodged/off centre etc) during manufacture. Originally, there were sharp burrs, and the aperture on both bolt holes were too big to accommodate a standard rack bolt. Consequently, I drilled out the holes properly (with a larger aperture) and deburred the surface so as not to interfere/damage anything racked within it. The holes can still be used by screwing into a standard rack nut (if so desired); but you can also just easily avoid using these 2 holes!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Dispatches to the UNITED KINGDOM ONLY via ROYAL MAIL/PARCEL FORCE 48H Delivery (Insured, Tracked & Signed For) SO IF YOU’RE NOT IN THE UK PLEASE DON’T BID!
