Amazing sounding preamps, i have been using these mainly for my drums, but also using vocals and with a DI for guitars/bass/synths. With the output attenuator you can really drive them into beautiful sounding distortion.
I built these myself and have always worked perfectly. I decided to go with a blank faceplate as i didnt like the capi design, and i think they look great. The top pot is input attenuator, the three butyons from top to bottom are mute, phase flip and 20db pad, bottom pot is output attenuator.
I have made many records with these and definatly attached, but i need to pay off my new amphion monitors, and have recently just serviced my studer desk. So many bills to pay.
