The microphone is in perfect condition and works well with my Mini-Disc recorder. It records with high volume and very clearly. However I have tried to use it for Zoom meetings on my laptop using a USB-C to jack converter and it doesn’t seem to work very well. The sound quality and volume are not as good on the laptop as they are on the Mini Disc. I would recommend you do not buy this for use with modern digital electronics unless you know more about this than I do! This is not a fault with the mike but a compatibility issue as far as I can see.
