Fostex 250 model 4-track portastudio that came out to rival the equivalent Tascam 4-track 244 model at the time. Circa early 1980s. As you can see, the unit lights up all 4 VU meters and seem active and counter seems to work and record track mode 1-4 seem to work. However mechanically it wont play or move in rewind or fast forward just occasionally makes a noise as if its trying to do something!
The main belt was replaced last year however even then was not working.
When you tip the item you can hear possibly a screw rattling around inside.
Finally as you can see, 8 pot caps missing.
And so, this item is sold as not working.
