Mic is fully working but switch dose not turn mic off probably easy thing to fix ,but I have used it like this and haven’t found it a problem .same as having an un switched mic like most SM58 s,,great warm sound and very powerful ,,only very slight rubbing to the powder coating where the mic clip goes ,and the tiniest dent to the grill which is to small for the camera to pic up ,,good professional microphone ,,
