This oled is a direct drop in replacement for the standard display, simply unbolt the old lcd/cable + replace with the new oled display/cable, no modifications or soldering is required !
These oled displays are the very latest and best display tech available. they do not suffer from the problems of slow response, image ghosting associated with lcd’s. when editing the response is instant, there is no image overlap ‘ghosting’ whatsoever. the standard lcd inside every Q is hard wired at the display end, its necessary then, before i ship the display, depending on which model you have, to attach a new ribbon cable and test it, the display pictured in the listing has a cable for a Q series keyboard. when you go through checkout inform me which Q you have and i will fashion and solder on the correct cable. when the display arrives it will be ready to install, there are no further soldering or modifications required !
The viewing angle, brightness, and contrast ratio are also superior to anything else. the colour and contrast can be adjusted something not possible with lcd’s. the display is guaranteed for life, which is 10,000 hours continuous, around 15-20 years normal use.
Fitting a display in a Q is very straightforward, seperate the top control surface from the base, inside the display is unobstructed, simply unbolt + swap in the new oled. you will need new spacers as the oled is a lot thinner than the old lcd, i will supply these with the display.
