The UR22 are UR44 are both perfect for small and home studios and now, with the UR824, Steinberg have expanded this fantastic range into the realms of the larger professional studio and stage set-ups. Offering the exceptionally clear and transparent 24-bit/192kHz audio quality that the UR series is known for, the UR824 is a rack-mountable unit which features 24 channels with switchable +48V phantom power and Hi-Z, pad push buttons for signal attenuation and gain controls with peak LED indicators. On-board are 8 industry-standard Yamaha D-PRE mic preamps and dspMixFX technology for latency-free monitoring with DSP effects – consisting of Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip, REV-X and Guitar Amp Classics – which can also be utilised in your chosen DAW as native VST 3 plugins. The rear panel provides six Neutrik combo TRS/XLR inputs and eight analog balanced TRS outputs as well as two pairs of optical ADAT inputs and outputs. Also on board are two BNC connectors for switchable word clock input and output. Developed by using advanced technologies to offer seamless scalability, this mixing and recording interface offers options to expand the number of analog inputs and outputs across the system via two pairs of ADAT Optical I/O to provide up to 24 input and output channels. These are also S/MUX compatible (4-in/4-out at 192kHz).Additionally, the 8 line outputs offer full support for surround productions up to 7.1.
