Although other digital mixers offer an amazing array of functions, it can oftenbe a nightmare to access them. In contrast we’ve designed the Digital 328 tooperate like your old analogue 8-bus console and not like a computer withfaders, so that you can take it out of its box and get started without evenopening the manual.
Unlike other digital mixers, there’s instant access to any channel, group ormaster feature with one button press, and you can see that feature’s statusfrom the front panel without having to rely on an LCD display. The key to itall is the 328’s unique “E-strip”, the lighter-coloured bank ofencoders and switches that runs across the centre of the console.
In order to interface easily with a wide variety of audio systems, a digitalmixer needs both digital and analogue audio connections. In the case of theDigital 328, digital multitracks and multi-channel PC-based digital audiosystems (including ADAT, Tascam DA Series machines, Pro Tools, Cubase VST,Desk etc) can be connected via its TDIF and ADAT optical connections. Thereare two sets of 8-channel ins and outs using these formats, giving you up to 16channels of digital I/O for group outputs and tape returns. In addition tothese, both AES/EBU and SPDIF interfaces are supported for stereo inputs and outputs.

With 2onboard Lexicon units it is incredibly versatile and it keeps everythingsounding so natural if you wish. It has not been used for the last year, but asfar as I am aware, it all works.
