Focusrite ISA Two – 2 Channel Microphone Preamp
Condition:
– full working order
– no rack marks or scratches except for a little mark to bottom right front rack ear, but minor and hard to make out on pics.
– have carefully removed the push release clip from mic input 1 as my Klotz high-end XLR mic cable got stuck in the input (the push release didn’t work so I had to remove the clip entirely). This is a common issue if you do a quick internet search, and solved by removing clip. In fact any unit with push release clips can suffer from this problem. My unit had this problem early on but I’ve been using it since and can hear nothing different about the sound quality (the input is not damaged). Both preamps sound the same. Some of my other gear doesn’t have the push clips anyway, the XLR input is secure enough that you won’t worry about the cable falling out. I wouldn’t recommend putting a new clip on as the old problem may resurface, though it would be easy to reattach one.
– there is a small mark on mic input one where I removed the clip but cosmetic only.
– rubber feet marks from another unit sitting on top of this are faintly visible – please see pictures of top of unit, had to use flash to help then show up). I gave them a gentle clean and they faded a bit so may just need a bit more elbow grease.
– original box in good condition
Reason I got it originally: had an ISA one and liked that but wanted two high quality channels for home studio for vox and guitar, with stereo recording options available and DI capability for guitar.
Reason for selling: doing a gear ‘spring clean’, need to make way for new gear – this was a luxury item for me as I mainly do non-vocal stuff so I can’t justify keeping it anymore – so am very sad to part with it.
It has only had light use in home studio, smoke/pet free home. Kept under dust sheet when not in use.
