2 port Firewire 400 card with the all important (…to musicians anyway) Texas Instruments chip. In this case a TI XIO2200 chipset. This has started to misbehave on my Windows 10 machine as even with the Windows 7/8/8.1 legacy driver https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2970191/firewire-port-based-device-does-not-work-correctly-in-windows-8-1-or-w can’t convince it to work all the time. So my Saffire Pro 14 is now sitting connected Firewire 400-800 on my iMac.
As you probably know, there aren’t any official Firewire drivers for Windows 10 as they have decreed it dead and gone.
