Up for grabs here is a cheeky little learning toy transformed into a twisted glitch box. Only a few added controls but that’s all you need to get mad sounds out of this one!
The Pitch knob gives you full pitch control of all the built in letters, words and sounds, giving low down drones and chirpy bleeps in the high registers. The Pitch Wobble point acts as a rapid vibrato effect, twisting up the tonal output of the Apple.
A quick tap of the Glitch button will trigger all sorts of unlikely noises which make for great sampler food. The Voltage Starve knobs makes the device think it’s running out of battery power, which when combined with high pitches up will elicit further glitched out melodies, digital noise streams and other sounds of confused circuitry.
The Pitch knob, Voltage Starve and Glitch pushbutton all work together, giving different results with different combinations for making a range of unusual sounds. And for the times when the Apple’s mind has gone to the pixies, a handy reset button sets everything back to normal again.
As always, a 1.4″ output jack provided to send the output to a recording device, amp, or run it through effects pedals… and believe us, you should!

This device runs on 2 x AA batteries, not included to keep the postage weight down. The instrument also comes with a printed instruction manual with details on how to use it and tips for playing.
