Up for sale is this rare vintage tube condenser microphone
EFITON M6a made in Germany in the 1950’s:
– 0.75″ (19mm) gold-sputtered diaphragm capsule
– Preamplifier bottle working with a selected NOS
Telefunken ECC83 long plate (12AX7) tube
– Cardioid pickup pattern, 200 ohms XLR output
– Frequency response 40Hz to 15,000Hz, 30mV/Pa
– Mirror glossy chromed brass body with engravings
– Permanently mounted 10′(3m) cable
– Dimensions: 1.6″ (40mm) in diameter, 6.7″ (170mm) high
This microphone comes completely serviced and modified/upgraded: a studio-grade audio transformer
was added to provide the 200 ohms balanced output signal.
Also the tube circuit has been modified for optimal performance
and a ground lift switch was added.
The mic is completely free from hum & noise,
it sounds and works great !
The set includes a brandnew custom-made power supply unit
(PSU) for the tube preamplifier circuit and capsule polarization.
All voltages are adjustable and stabilized.
The mains voltage can be set to 115 and 230 V.

Excellent condition, the mic sounds great with a very special tone.
