Behringer Eurorack MX2642 Mixer
26 Channel 4 Bus Mixer
Working well, a little noisy but great for sticking in a rack, filling with vintage outboard effects and synths, and routing them all through this to an audio interface for recording, that’s what I’ve been doing with it for the last 3 years. Now we’re in a new place it’s just a bit too big, and I’m downsizing.
Note: Channels 2 & 8 aren’t working correctly, one works intermittently (with fader movement) and the other doesn’t work, can’t remeber which way round, but anyone who knew how could probably clean them and get them working again.
Note 2: this is being sold without a power supply. When I bought this, the power supply was faulty, it made the unit hot within 30 mins. I have the MX802 8 channel from the same Eurorack family, and I have used the PSU from this without trouble. Howeverm, I am downsizing to the MX802 so need to keep the PSU.
Be warned, it’s hard to find these PSUs, your best bet is to already have a smaller mixer from the same family, or an MX2642 which is in worse condition than this one. I doubt you’ll find a new replacement model.
Collection / Delivery: This is too large and heavy to post. I am willing to deliver 100 miles from Rugby at 15p per mile (covers me both ways, i.e. 100 miles costs 15.00 total, well actually it doesn’t quite cover petrol costs but, I need this gone!) You are also welcome to collect.
Please feel free to ask any questions. It’s a great mixer, very warm and analogue throughout, a bit of noise, but be careful with gain staging and you’ll be fine. Plus, you can link loads of used outboard and have a great time with hands on fx! Modern mixers have hardly any fx sends because they assume everyone uses software fx. Buy this and start a collection of rack fx, very cheap on eBay. I am keeping my rack fx to use with my smaller mixer, but it’s less versatile as it only has 2 fx sends.
Rack mounting: The rack in the photo is not included, but i am selling it separately, so could be bought at same time. check my other items half an hour after this goes online. Enough screws to attach this mixer will be included.
