Audio Grade Capacitor kit for an access virus. This kit is correct for every B + C variation. Combination of nichicon fg (gold can) nichicon Ka and elna silmic. I have enough for a couple of kits only, capacitors which were left over, now surplus to requirements. Fantastic upgrade over the standard general purpose garbage. Also as a bonus does a nice job adding clarity and focus to the built in fx. Most importantly, signal to noise ratio is improved, less noise means more clarity = better sound. Simple.
This mod is easy to achieve. the circuit boards in the virus are very good quality, easily stripped and easy to get at. The old solder flows and wicks away easily. Changing all the caps is straightforward. All you need is some small chemwick. I use 0.075 and it works a treat, remove the old caps one at a time observing polarity, position wick over the holes and heat, the old solder wicks straight away. Then slide the new caps on and solder. Its child’s play really. If youve got basic skills you could do this job. If you check my Waldorf pulse cap listing, you’ll find warnings on that as the circuit boards are delicate. No warnings are required with this.
