FOR SALE IS MY TRUSTY GS3 Allen & Heath 24/8/2 Studio / Live (if you want to move this heavy thing from place to place) Mixer.
In addition I will also provide a Spares or Repair (however this also works with a few crackly pots and sliders) Allen & Heath GS3 16/8/2, which I bough for spares but never needed.
So you get Two (2) Mixers from this auction, one 24 channel (as seen in the pictures) and one 16 channel (contact me for pictures).

I purchased this GS3 24/8/2 mixer from new ( I can find the reciept if you are interested) back in 1992 for 3000 and it has had very light use in my smoke free, pet free, home studio for its entire life, it has NEVER gigged, NEVER been abused, ALWAYS been reliable and sounds fantastic.
It has a total of 24 line inputs, 24 Mic / XLR inputs and 8 bus inputs, this means you can actually plug in 56 separate channels, 24 using the LINE Inputs, 24 using the MAIN inputs and 8 using the Bus inputs, giving a very versatile mixer indeed.
It has midi mute automation which is easily programmed via computer or from its own on board interface.
There are 4 FX send and returns of which all can be assigned to the MAIN inputs and 1 and 3 can be used on the LINE inputs
The MAIN 24 channels have a 3 band EQ with a great range and the LINE 24 channels have a two band EQ.
This is a totally wonderful bit of analogue equipment which I no longer have room for.
I has been serviced every year, sliders, pots and connectors all cleaned and re-seated where needed.
Midi automation can be programmed from your keyboard, computer or its own simple to use interface (32 bank memory)
In addition to this GS3 24/8/2 you will get an Allen and Heath GS3 16/8/2 for any spares that the main mixer needs or indeed you can upgrade the 24 channel mixer into a 32 Channel version with the plug in banks from the 16 channel one.
I could waffle about this mixer for ages as I really have loved using it and have fell in love with its warm and smooth tones but it is now too big for my downsized studio and I replaced it with a smaller 24 channel desk.
I have not put a reserve price on this but am starting it at 600 as it is the best model of this mixer you will find on eBay especially with it having a spare mixer to use for spares.
