These two Genelec 1019a Active Studio Monitors travelled far and wide during the first 20 years of their life working as low level monitors for a classical pianist and then spent the last 15 years as studio monitor speakers in our post production suite.
The poor state of the wooden cabinets reveals their busy life, there are many pits, bumps and scratches on all surfaces which have been touched up from time to time but they are still very visible. The photos possibly give an ‘over optimistic’ impression of their condition.
Please examine all the photos carefully for more detail. The first photo shows both speakers, photos 2, 3 and 4 show speaker S/N 3372, photos 5, 6, and 7 show speaker S/N 3373. Photo 8 top shows the Gain, Treble & Bass Controls. Photo 8 bottom shows the XLR input, Mains input and Fuse.
The front mesh grilles have always been kept in place and consequently are in a poor state of repair after their travels.
The foam surrounds of the woofers were replaced recently as the originals had perished.
The audio quality from both speakers is still excellent with very precise, clean imaging. Tested today with voice, music and test tones.
With speakers and amplifiers of this age no guarantee can be given as to their longevity.
Each loudspeaker will be dispatched by courier individually packaged.
Unfortunately their size and considerable weight means that the courier cost (2 parcels) will be 24.50
UK delivery or cash on collection (KT3 area) only.
