Up for auction here is a Metric Halo ULN-2 Firewire audio interface. The auction is for the ULN-2 and its power supply only! Nothing else is included in the auction. The software and manual can downloaded for free from the Metric Halo website. The device offers pristine ultra low-noise preamps and AD/DA converters, with 72dB of gain and an E.I.N. of 130.5dBu. Thus, it is good for recording quiet stuff as well as capturing loud audio. The Mio software is what makes the ULN-2. The software mixer is in a class of its own and once you figure out how the routing is done the possibilities are endless. Additionally, it has onboard DSP in the mixer, which allows you to track with EQ and compression. You can choose to have the effects recorded and/or monitored only allowing you to record the dry signal and reapply the effects during mixing. Moreover, it can be bus powered so you can record anywhere.
These units are well made and Metric Halo offer great tech-support, with very responsive smart people who answer you personally.
