This Behringer Feedback Destroyer DSP1100P, 19″ rack unit is being sold at a low starting price as I am giving up sound engineering for local theatre companies. It comes complete with power lead and printed (English) PDF manual. It is in good working order (used on my last gig) and has been tested to power on before listing. This item is an entry level feedback suppressor and actually does a reasonable job if set up properly (it’s important to study the manual!). It is in good cosmetic condition (see photos). The VERY slight ‘buzz’ that can be heard when powered on is nothing at all to worry about and simply comes from the internal transformer being situated directly under the top cover and causing slight vibration (they all tend to do this – a minor design issue but not audible if flight cased or another unit sits on top of it).
If set up properly, the DSP 1100 is the weapon against feedback but it can also be used as an equalizer (2 * 12-band fully adjustable on 32 frequencies). I found it to be a very useful tool in ‘Live’ situations, particularly in difficult to rig venues. The manual can be found online if you want to know more.
