When ordering from the US, parcels may be subject to import tax and duty charges, which the buyer is responsible to pay.         Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.  You are looking at an older and very rare desk stand from the 1930’s or 1940’s era. Perfect for just about any older vintage microphone. The design is quite unique but I do not know which American company actually made this item? I have only ever come across one of these models before. Like so many early American stand manufacturers…the brand name and model number were rarely stamped on the base. This was very common for stands made pre-1940. It only became common practice around the 1940’s and upward so this could have been made by one of a dozen different companies. Could be an Eastern, Masco, Emco, etc… There is an indication of the manufacturer on the bottom of this base as it states “AS 520”. This stand has that classic deco look with the three tier “waterfall” cast iron base and polished nickel riser. The actual stem is made of brass. American mic companies rarely sold steel stems on a stand until the mid to late 1940’s. I believe Shure Brothers used steel stems on a couple of their early 1930’s era desk stands. The painted cast iron base looks beautiful. The base is thick and makes a stable platform. Weighs roughly 2 pounds.   Total length is 10 inches high x 5 1/2 inches wide. Please let the detailed pics be your guide. The stand will accept just about any microphone with the exception of a few Astatic mics due to their unusual 3 pin attachment. All E.V, Shure and Turner mics will screw on however. This stand has the universal 5/8 thread. This is perfect for the old “Fatboy” 55 or 55 S because of it’s wide, stable base and manufacture date (being 1940’s or earlier). This stand is a very conservative 8 on a scale of 10. If you demand a rare stand for that early mic than this might just be for you?     UNIVERSAL D-20-H MICROPHONE SHOWN ON STAND IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE…FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.  As with all my items…  I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not…I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that’s fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition…period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. Buyer must pay within 24 hours or an unpaid case will be opened and item relisted. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.   If you have any questions feel free to ask and…thanks for looking. Country of Manufacture United States Brand Eastern Type Vintage Microphone
