Sony DTC-750 DAT recorder, vgc, one owner from new, with box, manual, remote.
Bought new in 1992 – 28 years ago! – and used for mastering in my home studio and recording concerts off air.
I am still proud of those old recordings as this machine has a terrific ‘fresh’ sound.
I have always loved the format of DAT – the quality is absolutely peerless – but I no longer record anything or own any studio gear.
In very good cosmetic condition and mechanically sound and vgc, it still records and plays back.
Serviced and repaired a few years ago by the wholly excellent and very thorough Paul Carrington. Must have been about 6 years – sorry, can’t remember.

NOTE; if you own a DAT player/recorder you NEED to know about Paul C; I am not affiliated with him in any way.
In the last 2 months I have used this machine to record band rehearsal and to play back my old DAT tapes which I have now archived to .wav files.
The only thing I have noticed is that some of my (25+year-old) DAT tapes don’t load as well as they should and I have to take them out and put them in again carefully.
Therefore I must note that the loading mechanism for this machine is a bit fussy and quite delicate. Anyone who uses DAT knows the tape needs to be carefully inserted and pushed ‘home’ but not forced.
I would also recommend not using 28-year old tapes – a DAT tape is not as simple as an ordinary cassette!! The DAT tape in the pic is NOT included.
I have also tested the remote which works perfectly.
As I am very confident that this machine is at present in full working order, I wish to sell it to someone who will use and take care of it. I am not expecting it to be returned for any reason, so NO returns please!!
