The Midiman Smartsync was my 1990s solution for synchronising a sequencer with a cassette multitracker via MIDI timecode. It worked perfectly with my Tascam 488 and an Alesis MMT8 sequencer.Please note the continental power supply. The Smartsync lights up (the lights flash three times) when the power is first connected, but I no longer have my old studio gear to test it fully. Original box and manual. Looked after carefully since new.
