The dynamic BD and CD series were originally intended as “general purpose” microphones as were the BX and BD crystal models. This is the crystal version. They could be used for dispatch and also for singing as I’ve seen these used in old bands from the 1940’s and 50’s. Today these are sought after as excellent harp mics for use with a harmonica due to their gritty High Z sound. It comes with a short cable in which to operate.  Pic # 2 is from an old Turner advertisement. These models today happen to make great harp mics due to their small size and east in which to cup in the hand. These are egg sized mics. It should be noted however that this Turner BX still works and sounds great with it’s original element. These crystal mics were originally intended to be used with phantom power. This will make a good harp mic even without phantom power if you cup the mic and get in close to it. It can also be used for display or prop purposes due to it’s very nice physical appearance.                                                                                                                                                                                                         As seen in the pictures provided this mic has a nice original painted finish showing very lite wear in the form of tiny scratches and scuff marks but free of any nicks fractures or dents. The original black screen is in perfect condition and the front grill is free of any dents. The Turner badge is still present and looks excellent. Some of the earlier BX mics did not come with a Turner badge. Both threads for the cable and stand are in perfect condition. Rarely do these mics still work due to their extreme age but this one beat the odds and the element sit’s firmly inside with zero issues. There is always plenty of room for an upgrade element if needed. The mic has a short 7 foot cable that is soft, pliable and has a quality Switchcraft male 1/4 inch end connector.  MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE…USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY. The Mic will screw onto any modern desk or floor stand.  As with all my vintage microphones for sale…   I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not…I have a no hassle return policy. The return shipping will be on you as I believe that’s fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition…period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. BUYER MUST PAY WITHIN 24 HOURS or will lose rights to this item, unpaid item report will be filed and will be relisted.
