VINTAGE 1980s SOUND EFFECTS MODULE
Simmons traditionally built drum equipment and added the SDE to their range as a drum synthesiser. However, musicians found the bright percussive sounds an interesting addition to use with keyboards. Accordingly, in 1988, the factory modified the SDE as the Super SDE specifically for keyboard use. The range of sounds is highly programmable and somewhat different to normal synth voices.
