You are looking at a nice 1960’s era Atlas MS-12C microphone floor stand that has a cast iron (10 inch wide) base and a two piece retractable chrome stem Made in Parsippany, NJ. Pic # 2 shows this very stand in the 60’s era Atlas catalog. It was an affordable entry level stand that was one of Atlas’s most popular models. The MS-12C originally had a two tier waterfall design in the 1950’s but the model changed in the 1960’s to have a low profile slender and thinner base which looks the same even today. This stand would compliment any microphone from about the 1960’s to present due to its mid century styling and it will work on any newer set up as well. The chrome on both upper stem shows almost no wear as seen in the pics provided. The lower chrome riser still has the original Atlas logo and clearly shows it was made in Parsippany, NJ. The clutch mechanism tightens just as it should. No issues. The stand is adjustable from 35 inches low to a high 65 inches tall if needed? The 3 rubber pads are present on the base and keep the base from scratching any floor it sits on. The cast iron base has an original dark grey paint scheme and it’s quite nice overall. Just lite scuff marks and one small paint chip. The bottom of the cast iron base shows no rust stains. Overall this stand is an easy 8 on a scale of 1 – 10. As with all my vintage microphones and stands… I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not…I have a no hassle return policy.
