Hi there. Youre looking at a great example of the rare S2800. I have used this very lightly but have managed to test most functions- all of them work brilliantly as far as I can tell so far.
No manual is included but I am happy to send you the link for the online version which I have (this is not readily available – I searched hard for my copy!)Not only are the Akai S-series samplers some of the most widely-used in history, but theyre also some of the best. Due to their signature sound, its perfectly simple and pleasing to the ears to create lovely warm house, dark jungle, garage, hip hop or basically any type of music. Although I havent tried it, running a guitar through the S2800s processing for an indie band or rock outfit could create some amazing results?? Would be thrilled if anyone was buying for that purpose.
Just to remind you of the huge range of amazing artists who use this series of Akai: Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, DJ Premier, Lord Finesse, Calvin Harris, Q-Tip, Madlib, Jean Michael Jarre, Prince, Gary Numan, Source Direct, LTJ Bukem…….. the list goes on.
Samplers are of course probably the most essential piece of hardware around today, as they are both affordable and effective at creating an enormous variety of sounds. This is a fine one, and Im sure any fine recipient would be worthy of its potential.
