Alesis 3630 compressors x2 units and Alesis Midiverb 3.
These items are in reasonable condition- have the usual rack-rash typical of any pro audio unit.
They have passed a full audio test with no faults or crackles discovered.
Can’t find 2 of the power supplies, so selling the 3 units with 1x power supply as a job lot- they all require the same type, commonly found around 10 each.
These compressors were poorly reviewed at the time- mostly as a lack of “Auto” button for envelope means that in the wrong hands it can sound bad, however in the right hands this is a surprisingly good compressor- is a copy of a DBX design and there are many posts out there on modification of these to make them sound much better (apparently -very similar to a DBX 160 due to similarities in design!)
They are allegedly common favourites for side chaining by French electronic music artists!
A common mod is to cut the internal jumper to permanently bypass the noise gate, which is fairly simple to achieve.
The Midiverb 3 is a multi effects unit consisting of Reverb, Delay, Chorus and EQ with 15 KHz bandwidth and 16 bit processing.
When released these were very popular (those in the know always went for program 23!) and in my opinion can still sound better than the effects built in to many mixers.
