Ampeg SB-12 Portaflex 25 watt Bass Amplifier 1967.

This is the rare (especially in the UK) 12″ brother to the more common 15″ Portaflex. This model was designed to be used with the Ampeg upright electric bass.

It is 25 watt with the original Jensen 12″ speaker, and was part of the back line inventory at Britannia Row Studios founded by Pink Floyd in !976 – it has been used on countless recordings at that iconic studio.

This amp is perfect for studio bass sessions and also sounds excellent with guitar. It is in good working order for its age (1967) and the defects can be seen in the photos. It sounds amazing and was always chosen as soon as any bass player clapped their eyes on it!

It is 110 volt and a heavy duty 240v transformer is included in the sale.

Collection in person only, due to weight and value. South West London.
