The MiniBrute has been around for a long time now, and keeps winning the hearts and minds.
I’m selling mine because I’m primarily a guitarist and need to downsize on the synth side.
It’s the limited edition red variety, featuring:
– Ten patch sheets
– MIDI in and out via USB as well as the good old DINs (standard MIDI sockets)
-CV and Gate ins and outs
– Audio In where you can plug your guitar (or another analog audio source) to give it some special love. The Arturia website also says that if you stick in a drum machine audio output here, and switch the Gate source to audio, the Brute will begin generating bass lines for you.
It has a single VCO with four simultaneous wavewshapes, an arpegiator and a great sounding filter section.
Find a much more detailed explanation, along with sound samples, firmware, software and user documentation on the Arturia website.
One thing of note if you are considering bidding for my Brute:
I got this with a replacement PSU, which makes some odd noises when switched on. It works well, and I have kept it switched on for long periods of time without any problems. But the noise can be a bit alarming. I’ll put the PSU in the box of course but you may consider changing it. It’s a bog standard 12V centre-positive1.0A DC adapter (2,1mm). Sold on Amazon for around 10.
