Audient Centro Master Section Stereo Monitor ControllerDo not confuse this rare item with the current crop of budget monitor controllers from Audient, Mackie, Prosonus etc, as this unit is all about quality and not built to a price point. Better comparisons would be to higher end controllers like Dangerous, SPL Black etc….Designed by Dave Deardon, this rare and incredibly flexible monitor controller can really be described as a centre section of a console, with a high quality analog signal chain. Theres a number of stereo analog inputs, plus loads of digital inputs (AES, SPDIF and Optical) with a great sounding DAC, two cue busses , internal or external talkback – a record buss for low latency tracking, switching for three dedicated monitor sets, or more if you utilise one of the cue busses, plus it can handle a subwoofer. Lots of clever soft functions inside to aid workflow. It comes in two parts. The 2u brain and the remote joined by a long 9 pin cable. Comes with instruction manual, remote cable and Mains lead with its original shipping carton. To improve on the quality of this unit you would need to spend at least double. Dont take my word on it – check out the sound on sound review below and the specs. Its fully functional, in good condition with a little rack rash on the bits you dont see.
