The Multicom is in working condition although the previous owner – probably short of a two quid IEC cable – modified the power input. A three core mains lead has been threaded through the IEC socket and soldered to the internal wiring to create a hard-wired unit. This is an easy job to put right with a new fused IEC chassis mount socket and a little skill with a soldering iron – please look at the pics to see the extent of the modification. The IEC sockets are around on eBay and I have seen them priced as low as 2.55. For this reason alone I have listed the Multicom as spares or repair. Please note that I stripped insulation tape off the soldered joints to take the pics and if a buyer decides not to return it back to standard then at least the replacement of the tape will be required to ensure safe operation.
