An 8 point cotton scrim used for lighting effects. Light the scrim from the front at an oblique angle, with the scene
behind totally dark, and the scrim appears opaque, rendering the scene behind invisible. Reverse the lighting light the scene behind and dim the front lights and the scrim becomes transparent, revealing the upstage scene. The tooth is typically vertical although it works horizontally.
