Sadly for me I’m forced to let go of my favorite amplifier. I must iterate that this is the professional version. Also, it is NOT the original 4B, with this version being much better, as well as superior to the original 4B ST. While the differences between those older versions are pronounced, the difference with subsequent versions have been more subtle. I personally don’t find any fault with this amplifier.
This is a renowned amp which should need no introduction on my behalf; if you are in the market for one you probably already know it is a wonderful amplifier. If not, I recommend reading various reviews and or finding out for yourself how great it is. You will not be disappointed. It has won numerous awards and commendations from various highly regarded sources.
As for the life of this particular unit, it was purchased originally for a studio, where it served its duties perfectly until redesign, whereby I purchased it and used it for my personal studio. I’m the second owner. When it came into my posession, I had it sent to bryston (still under Bryston’s wonderful 20 year warranty) for service. I still have the box.
As for cosmetics, this was a rack mounted unit (it is quite heavy and can be cumbersome to install in a rack yourself) and as such shows some typical scuffs. Nothing broken. This amplifier works perfectly.
This unit benefits from using good, beefy connections, including all cabling. I can include a power cable if you’d like, or you may choose to source your own, of whichever quality/ga. you desire. If you’d like me to include a power cable, please let me know.
