For Auction: Classic Audio Products of Illinois VP28
Dual-Stage Preamp with Stepped Controls.
Professionally assembled by MW Analog.
The VP28 brings the sound and vibe of the classic 70s U console to your 500 series rack preamps while adding a plethora of modern features.
The VP28 is a souped up version of the meticulously recreated vintage American console sound that Classic Audio Products of Illinois is famous for, and includes LED indicators for signal present, Mic/Line mode, 48V Phantom Power, Polarity (Phase), and Pad.
With a powerful 70dB of gain and a specialized output attenuator, you can get real analog crunch on the input, but reduce the output enough to avoid clipping your converters. If you want to push the input transformer even harder, just engage the 20dB pad switch and crank it up!
Topping it off is a low cut selectable between 40Hz, 80Hz, and 160Hz in 6dB or 12dB per octave slope.
This beast does EVERYTHING! The VP28 comes pre-loaded with the GAR 2520 and GAR 1731 op amps, but can accept any standard DOA.
In excellent condition – low hours in non-smoking studio.
2 available – shipping combined if both are won.
Cost new is $579.99 + shipping + import duty (VAT).
