Classic Canford CCM3 broadcast mixing desk. Designed for outside broadcast these mixers have found a lot of love (as have all good quality small format mixers) in todays studios as they are built extremely well & to a very high quality. The preamps are really excellent & each channel has an insert – which you can use as individual outputs. The eq is basic but usable, and theres plenty of gain – so you can track super clean audio, or really tasty saturation (really tasty!!) if you push the gain. Its fantastic overdriving room mics for drums / guitars & bass – but also drives nicely on vocals – much more live than a plugin – plus you singer can play to the effect as its going down live. Some idiot put a box down on it a few months ago & now the gain & treble pots on channel 6 need replacing, as does the headphone pot & the oscillator button. Bass pot on channel 5 is iffy.
Most annoying – but I was always happy mixing with 5 channels or recording with 5 preamps.
Its enough.
Comes with original Canford power supply – sounds superb & is a righteous bang for buck piece of studiology.
