d&b’s SL-Series now has a second edition. The KSL System is the smaller sibling of the company’s flagship GSL. KSL offers full-range broadband directivity, extended LF response and advanced rigging options, according to the company. KSL can be used in mobile or install capacities; it’s able to cover arenas, stadiums and festivals, or conversely, clubs, theaters, houses of worship and performing arts venues. The KSL8 and KSL12 loudspeakers, with 80° and 120° horizontal dispersion, respectively, are said to provide consistent pattern control down to the lowest frequencies, in part due to the geometry of two front-facing 10-inch drivers and two side firing 8-inch drivers, which couple and apply cardioid techniques to cause directivity with low-frequency headroom.
