This unit is in fair condition, but with some scuffs and scratches. Two of the selector buttons are missing their silver caps, but still operate. I tested this unit briefly and it all appears to be working well. However, it may well need calibration and a service. Hence it is sold as seen.

This is a Four Channel (or Four Track) dbx type I noise reduction compander designed to greatly improve signal to noise ratio of analog audio tape recordings. It was designed for professional audio tape systems, typicallyreel to reel at 7.5 or 15 IPS. It could virtually eliminate audible tape hiss, providing about a twentyto thirty dB improvement that could be parceled out between more headroom or lower noise floor. It is also popular with studios for compression and expansion effects.
This item is sold as part of a clearance exercise and has not been fully tested.
The unit is not supplied with any other accessories such as a manual.
