Product Description Van Damme Balanced Extension leads. Useful pieces of kit to extend the reach of you pre-existing leads. Made using a male Neutrik jack and Female Jack socket. The female socket has a locking mechanism that can only be released by de-pressing the red tab, so makes for a very solid and reliable connection. Both connectors have ‘Chuck type’ cable strain relief that ratchets onto the cable. This range of leads uses Van Damme’s world renowned XKE microphone cable and is available in a variety of colours. The cable has a thick PVC jacket. An all round great cable with excellent signal transmission. Balanced leads are clever cables that minimize noise interference by using two twisted cores. The signals are sent perfectly out of phase with one another and then re-inverted at the destination. The interference collected along the cable length is also then inverted, so put out of phase and made silent. The Silver Contacts within the XLR are made from bronze and plated with silver. The conductivity is superior to gold.
