This is the original grey version, just having been serviced and every button and drum pad responds perfectly. The mix out shield surround was replaced which is why it looks shinier than the outher outputs.There are a few minor issues to be aware of I have not replaced the facia plate which has some plastic blistering (quite usual for this machine). The backlight on the disply screen has gone. It can still be read easily or you can get an LED replacement screen if you like making beats in the dark.
Occasionally the floppy can’t be accessed. When this happens there is a trick of lifting the edge of the inserted disk slightly with your finger for a moment until it engages. The drive can be replaced easily with a USB drive, but again, it never bothered me and I prefer the authentictity of leaving it all as is.
The transformer may soon need replacing as there is a very low humming noise from the outputs. This occurs when the coils become old and loosen. The hum disappears when you tap the side of the machine, moving the coils. Its a common problem with these machines of this age.
I’m including the original owner’s manual, all my disks in a box (I don’t have the original library) including loads of blank disks and even an 8 way unbalanced jack loom and MIDI cable, and power cable of course.
