1990s Korg Digital Mixer

This mixer has a few problems but plugging in a good dynamic mic, engaging the reverb and EQ, and listening, this is a really sweet sounding mixer, not at all harsh or digital sounding by todays standards but vintage warm and proper digital with very smooth sounding EQ and effects.

Very analogue sounding EQ.

The analogue stage and AD converters on this mixer are very sweet, they impart a very smooth and analogue sounding charcteristic when gain staged correctly, making sure not to clip the mixer internally is inportant, bring the input gains down to reasonable levels and turn up the master and headphone/monitor outputs, then the sound is lovely, the effects act properly with no distortion and there is minimal hiss (what hiss there is is quite pleasant unobtrusive characteristic like tape hiss).

Classic contemporary looks with the pearl white finish and wood panelling.

Originally retailed for more than $999.

Heavy duty build quality. All metal and wood parts. Not a plastic toy like today’s products.
