1980s designed Korg “KMX-8” 8-into-2 Stage Mixer. Input Channels8 mono channels, each with an input Gain control, Pan pot, and linearfader (3cm travel). There is sufficient gain on the input preamplifiersto use dynamic microphones (Sure SM58 etc): this maximum input gain appears tobe 60dB. Aux SendsEach channel can be routed to one of the two Auxiliary Sends, via asingle centre-detente pan control. There are Master Level pots for thetwo Aux Sends. Stereo OutputThe stereo output stage has two master faders (also 3cm travel), and apair of active filters (100Hz bass, and 10kHz treble). All outputs (i.e Stereo Output and the AuxSends) are at -10dBV i.e. at standard domestic line level. Headphone MonitoringOnboard stereo headphone amplifier. The unit is tested and working. The case shows some signs of wear, anda previous owner has neatly etched their name and address onto the fascia panelon the top right, apparently using a stencil. Bought c.1997, but only used outside my workroom once – to mix synthsand bass into one amp for a gig in 1998. Weight: 3.8kg.
