All seems to be working fine though i failed to work out how to change the sound! Clean and tidygrab a bargainThe M1 keyboard was Korgs answer to the linear arithmetic technology pioneered by Roland on the D50 keyboard. It essentially combines purpose made digital subtractive synthesis circuits with PCM samples. The M1 is a music workstation is equipped with an 8 track sequencer with both step and real time modes. The sequencer is capable of 10 songs, 100 patterns and 7700 notes. In addition to the sequencer, there is a digital post processing system capable of chorus, reverb, delay and much more.
The Korg M1 produces sounds that cover credible acoustic instruments, pure digital and vibrant analogue type sounds. Two examples being: Universe and Saxophone where the former is still unique to the M1 with its haunting space like quality.
The M1 has full MIDI implementation, making it a versatile instrument within the studio. The M1 can be programmed using a number of editors for both PC and MAC via MIDI.
The M1 is a well constructed machine from an aluminium extrusion and the keyboard has an quality action that would be expected from Korg.
