Korg Microkorg – For Repair, Parts and Spares.
The main fault is that the top five right-hand side tone pots / dials have become unreliable i.e. the parameters don’t always change in line with the position of the dial. You can be turning it from left to right slowly but the parameter will jump abruptly, or start to oscillate quite wildly. The middle three tend to be the worst but it affects all of them. Aside from using an Air Duster spray on them, I haven’t attempted any repairs. There is also a bit of audio crackle when you turn the master volume control up and down.
The item doesn’t come with a power adaptor: the original one got shorted back in 2006 and I’ve been using store-bought adaptors ever since, so you will need to provide your own.
The shell / outer-casing is in generally good condition, a couple of marks here and there (see pictures), and the vocoder and keys are all responsive and play nicely. It
I purchased this Microkorg in 2004 / 2005, and it’s been used quite a lot in various live and studio settings. The item is best bought for parts and spares, or as a repair project for someone with the right know how.
