An amazing little pre amp for the price, had this a good few years in a commercial studio and would run my synths via D.I and session vocals through it.
You have a choice between XLR or jack ins and outs. Built in EQ filters – very handy when you need to cut out low rumble and unwanted deep bass 48V phantom power and phase switches on both channels with clip and output metering.
Pre Amp controls on each channel from left to right: DI Input Jack, DI/Mic Line input selector switches, Gain control, 48V selector, Phase selector, Low Freq Filter (25-250Hz), Output level (to +20db), Output Level Meter (8 LED). On the rear of unit: 2 x Mic and Line inputs on XLR and Jack and 2 x +4dbu XLR output and -10dbv jack output sockets. Product DescriptionProduct Overview The MLX2 is a professional two channel Mic Preamplifier which also accepts Line levels and Direct Instrument connection. The unit is designed around an ultra low noise input device with excellent common mode rejection resulting in signal amplification of exceptional clarity. The DI input circuit is FET based producing excellent sonic characteristics especially on bass instruments. Front panel controls include Input Gain, Variable High Pass Filter and Output level control. Front panel switches provide selection between the rear panel Mic and Line inputs and the front panel DI socket. Phase Reverse and +48V Phantom Power switches are also included. Applications The high degree of specification and performance the MLX2 offers makes it the ideal preamplifier for direct to analogue or digital recording of Mic, Line and Instrument sources. The MLX 2 may also be used as a high quality active Dual DI unit
