Matched pair. These are the original STC manufactured ones as supplied to the Beeb. (The current rebranded Coles ones are exactly the same spec — I hope they are as good as the originals…).Bought mid-late 1960s, treated with excessive care, always rigged in suspension mounts (not included here). They do live up to their vintage hype, producing a clean warmth and sense of reality thats unmatched by any other mic Ive used.These are the 30 ohm version as supplied to the Beeb, permitting very long cable runs. I mostly used them with a custom-made Vortexion mike amp, but this finally died before I last used the mikes a couple of years ago (long after my official retirement, for a solo CD of Evan Parker); so for that, I hurriedly lashed up a pair of very short XLR adapters containing Sowter 30/600 ohm transformers which worked very well. I can include these if required.Connectors: See pic. There is some 40-year-old gaffa tape around one of the mic connectors. Nothing wrong with the connector, but I never got around to removing the tape after an aborted experiment with some fancy shockmount. 4.5m premium oxygen-free cable to the XLR3 connectors.Some time ago I sold all my other mics, but Im now so deaf I can no longer justify keeping these.Collection from Whistable, Kent preferable. Otherwise they will be packed with plenty of shock protection. The carriage amount shown is Royal Mail’s charge for next day before 1pm, tracked, signed for and insured — obviously buyer deducts this from gross payable amount shown if collecting from Whitstable.
