Moog Etherwave Theremin. If you’re an imaginative and curious sound maker, I think it’s worth owning a Theremin at some point. I’ve had this one for years. I plug it in periodically, goof around but never really find an enormous use it for it. But it’s so unusual, totally unlike anything else that’s it’s hard to let go of. Very, very tricky to play beautifully but incredibly easy, fun and addictive to just make noises with. Switch it on, move your arms around and it sounds compelling immediately. Put an echo on and it’s even better. The tones themselves are excellent – fat, warm and pure. It’s a lot of fun.
This is one is in good condition, a few little scuffs and scrapes here and there. The nut which locks the pitch antennae in place is missing (pictured) but it’s still completely playable as it is. It’s hardly an instrument you throw around once it’s switched on. Comes with original power supply. Questions welcome!
