Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol M32 32 Key USB Midi Controller Keyboard with DAW integration.
This Komplete Kontrol was purchased last week and works great. Sadly for me, I’ve got too many hours invested in Tracktion as my DAW and this unit doesn’t integrate with it, meaning I can play music using it but the extra dials and knobs won’t do a thing. (I was hoping to find a work-around.)
If you use other mainstream DAW’s like:
Ableton Live (version 9.2.3 or higher)Logic X (version 10.3.1 or higher)Garageband (version 10.2.0 or higher)Cubase Artist/Pro (version 8.5 or higher)Nuendo (version 7.1 or higher)… then all the extra knobs and whistles will work just fine. Just thought I should mention everything works as it should from within the Komplete Kontrol app on a PC and you can layer multiple sounds and do all sorts of fancy things for realtime playing. My problem was the record and play buttons do not work with the multi track software I use for recording.There are many positive reviews available online and YouTube about this keyboard’s build, feel, and features.Please remember I have registered this product with Native Instruments and they claim the serial is non-transferable. Having said that, they made “Komplete Start” completely free now and you should be able to get up and running from there with a lot of sounds you can use. There are also plenty of VST instruments available for free. Also, the DAW Ableton Live 10 Lite is free to download and so are others like Reaper.
Oh and in case you missed it, this musical keyboard produces/contains no sounds. It is merely an interface so you can use your computer to make music using virtual instruments like synths, pianos, drums, and so on. The possibilities are vast and wonderful.
