Nektar Impact LX25+ USB Midi Controller Product Overview by GAKThe Nektar Impact LX25+ MIDI Controller is a compact but robust 25 note controller keyboard. It features Nektar DAW Integration designed for use with Bitwig, Cubase, Digital Performer, FL Studio, GarageBand, Logic, Nuendo, Reaper, Reason, Sonar and Studio One. The LX25+ will hook up automatically to your choice of DAW, so you can spend more time exploring with your creativity. The LX25+ features a 25 note velocity sensitive keyboard which emulates the feel of a classic synth with medium tension. To suit a variety of playing styles, there are 4 velocity curves gradually increasing in dynamics. If you require a consistent output, there is also 3 fixed velocity levels. Octave and transpose buttons, as well as pitch bend and modulation wheels are easily located on the interface for further quick alterations.LX25+’s 8 velocity sensitive pads have been calibrated to trigger at a light touch, and each pad can be assigned to any MIDI note number or MIDI cc message to use them as MIDI trigger or toggle buttons. The handy Pad Learn feature allows you to select a pad, play the note or drum sound that you want on the keyboard and voila – complex menus are no longer. The 4 colour LED illumination of the pads not only look attractive but can also signify which type of MIDI message each pad sends.With the octave and transpose buttons, you can perform 4 functions on the fly, including sending out MIDI Program Messages, changing the Global MIDI Channel or selecting any of this controller’s five user presets even when you play. The LX25+’s control panel also features a 30mm fader and 8 pots, and each control is completely programmable so you can send any MIDI CC message for use with hardware or software MIDI products.
