Originally the AM740 was probably designed as a lavalier, or lapel, microphone for TV interviews, etc.
However, I used it as a pick-up inside an acoustic bass guitar with superb fat vintage bass results!
Somewhat surprisingly for a small microphone, it has a fabulous low-frequency reproduction.
Also excellent as internal pick-up for other acoustic instruments, such as acoustic guitar, etc.
Can be clipped on to the instrument’s sound hole, or placed inside the instrument.
On bass, I first tried clipping it to the sound-hole, but the results were better when it was simply laid on a folded cloth inside the instrument.
I no longer have the power supply or ps cable, as I sold my solid-state MV692 system when I switched to valve mics.
