Orange Amplifier Backplate (70s). This is an original backplate from an orange valve amplifier, which was built in the 1970s, according to the serial number. (OA 2949)Condition is very good, with no rips or tears to the tolex.Metal air grill is also in remarkably good condition.Historically, i purchased an orange amplifier sleeve with the backplate, with the intention of restoration.Unfortunately someone had painted the tolex on the sleeve with black gloss paint, but obviously never painted the backplate.I still have the sleeve, but it is now stripped back to bare wood as i have removed the painted tolex.Sleeve is also for sale, if anybody is interested.
