This item is for another pair of speaker cabs (i.e. two speakers). I have two pairs for sale with the same issue from the same installation (i.e. four speakers total), please see my other listing. You will need to repair the problem before use, and they are big, heavy things (640mm H 422mm W 396mm D), 25kg ish, but for the right place (church? hall?) with the right skills, this could be a cheap way of getting some decent fixed PA-type speakers.
These speakers are in overall good cosmetic condition, having been mounted on a wall well above arm’s reach, with a few surface marks/minor scratches. There is one deeper mark, about 2x4cm on a front edge, see pictures, and a few more marks than the other pair. Unfortunately they don’t reproduce high frequencies – either the tweeter/HF driver is faulty/blown, or the crossover (but at least the bass part of the crossover is working, so more likely the tweeters). The 15″ woofers appears to work fine. No-one knows why the speakers failed – remarkably, they seem to have been used in this condition for most of their life. No fault-finding has been attempted, but we have been told that replacement HF drivers are available as they are common to many Wharfedale Pro speakers.
They have been swapped out for new ones of the same model, so these ones are in new boxes, with manuals, and new brackets attached (some photos show the speakers before I attached the brackets). All M8 hanging points include countersunk bolts, plus there are spare M8 round-headed bolts for the bracket. Oddly one of the pair has significantly more M8 hanging points than the other – see pictures. The brackets would benefit from some decent washers/spacers (a few tired ones included), one of the brackets is slightly bent at the end.
These speakers were in the school hall of a modern (2010) primary school, very little used of late (unknown before), and any funds raised will go towards their replacements – which I have delivered training on how to use without damaging. Sorry, collection only from Peebles, Scottish Borders due to size and weight (29kg per boxed speaker). Cash on collection preferred, no returns. Not suitable for courier pickup as boxes aren’t in fantastic condition.
